The first time when I picked the book “who moved my cheese?”, I thought let me do some children reading which was definitely not what I discovered later. The book had the whole human life in 4 characters of the book which is amazing as we talk about different types of people’s existence. I had no problems in identifying what person or rat I was. The book is worthy of a read by childrens to the old age. If there was a mass gift that I needed to pay someone, that would be this book.
So what is it that this book is so astonisihing that I want everyone to read. The book talks about different peoples attitude in difficult times. The real test of person is always in the difficult times, if you could show character at your most difficult times then you are percieved as a strong individual who is ready for the achievers glory.
Most of the friends and family members that I meet belong to the following types as mentioned in the book. Some adapt to rapid changes in their life with respect to both professional and personal life. Sone just adapt after dwelling in a comfort zone for a limited period of time. The rest just dont want to believe in changes, they would want to stick to their comforts and not challenge themselves professionally and personally.
The people who change with rapid changes in their life like when they are not happy with their jobs, with their personal lives. The people instinctively detect the arrival of problems much before other types of people even know about. These are kind who are very proficient with their life who detect the cheese is vanishing. Cheese might be anything like excitement in their romantic life, their jobs and everything else with our lives. They would excercise a lot and be in a better shape to face the challenges ahead of them.
The second type of people are the ones who detect problems when they arrive. They detect when you have no more cheese, they identify the problem and would take a late decision to hunt for new cheese. These people are the late realizers who eventually move out of the comfort zone to tackle new challenges and get on with the cheese hunt. The kinds would have regret for waiting over a problem. The types of people are late learners, I would call who eventually get on with their life and not cry about.
Finally there are people who never change and complain about the lack of opportunities to them by some divine intervention. The lazist people of all types, they dont want to accept changes and move ahead but would want to stick to their beliefs that things are going to change for the better. They are happy in their comfort zone and would not want to move from their comfort zone. These are the people who dont identify the problems, they dont work to solve it.
Every person in the world belong to these three kinds. I am definitely in the third group, failing to identify the problem at hand. Time to definitely move on to higher levels. The only stopping factor is the risk involved.
“Who Moved My Cheese ? ” …. well the cheese just got over.. search for new cheese..
